Developing The Office Space of The Future

Business Issue

Our client, a commercial office complex in central Jakarta, were looking to develop a new kind of office space, one that would be future-proofed and appeal to millennial employees for years to come. Therefore, they wanted to understand their current and potential tenants better; and understand how and why certain office space suits their needs and how these needs will change in years to come as work practices change. This research fed into the client's long-term strategic development for the complex.

Our Approach

A series of in-depth interviews were conducted with tenant CEOs and focus groups with ‘millennial managers' (the future business leaders).

We identified the prioritisation of short and long-term strategy in terms of facility and amenity development, mobility and integration of areas within the complex, identification of needs for multifunction and common spaces.
